Yeah, you're probably right. Did we really expect Leicester to win it again this year though?

For Championship League teams it says Max Transfer is 2 mil pounds. That seems awfully low? I don't know too much about funds but looking up some transfers and there are plenty of FL Championship transfers well above 2mil.

Try playing career mode starting in English league 2. Play on world class or legendary. It's a different game when you haven't got tens of millions to spend. It's also a better game in lower divisions without the primadona players and silly tricky moves

It depends on which club you choose in Championship, for many clubs are 2 mill. much money for other peanuts. Therefore we see more loans of players in the minor leagues. But modify it for your needs. But Road to Glory makes things a little more realistic and for me thus more fun when CM is demanding.

This is exactly what I do and it's not a lone solution.

Sorry, misread the comment. I start out in FL Championship. However, I still don't think it resolves any issue but rather delays it.

I know it's always kind of been an issue, but I just signed 6 players on Contract Expiry that will bring my team from pretty good to potentially one of the better top 11 in the world. On top of that I also signed David Alaba because I didn't have to spend anything getting those other guys so I figured why not.

Along with this, it's also so incredibly easy to scout a young world class talent regardless of what team you are.

Aside from house rules, which I'm probably going to have to start doing, anyone have anything that makes it more difficult to improve your roster with such ease?

I've made these house rules for the last 2 fifa's and they have kept me entertained season after season when I'd normally be bored very quickly, it makes some years fantastic and thrilling and others grim and disappointing.
The 10 rules are as follows:
1. Never, ever, ever, restart or reset any game or sim. This applies to resetting scout reports as well, when you move forward, you move forward no matter what
2. You can only ever have one 1 star scout who scouts on ANY, no matter how much money you have.
3. You can only release youth players or keep them, meaning you can't sell them to make unrealistic quick cash no matter what. This makes you pick your few youth players wisely.
4. 50% of squad must have nationality of league ie, EPL=50% English squad.
5. You can only buy a player if his OVR is lower than your best player.
6. You can pick 1 favourite player per year that you can choose not to trade no matter what, otherwise anyone (not youth players) can be bought first offer by a bigger club.
7. Can't buy regen players, no matter what.
9. Can't have a player from different nationality unless he speaks English (if in England) unless there is 2 players.

These work a treat for me
