Exactly, precisely the reason why I was going to maybe buy FIFA18 this summer for the World Cup mode but chose not to. I think we're even better off all working together to update the squads in the 2014 World Cup game. Who cares if it's set in Brazil.

I don’t believe all of the squads have been finalized. I’m hoping EA finalizes the rosters when they’re all done.

This is likely the case. In the standalone iterations of this game, they would release an update after the squads were announced.

I'm confused as to why EA would bother adding scanned faces to the game but only making them available in the WC mode. The updated faces aren't available for non-WC modes.

Pretty weird.

There is an online tournament option from the main WC menu. Right below the bit *** FUT option. You can also do online friendlies.
