soccer noob - help / question

i just purchased fifa 08 - have played soccer games sparingly, but have always enjoyed them in the past. i'm not a diehard, but have limited knowledge.

question is this: the download on xbox live / EA stated that the latest file is not available for download - does anyone know why?

I remember others having problems with this earlier this year. Have you tried playing online? I think it might give you the option to save the online squad file for offline use at some point...
