PS3 - Need Help With Volleys

Hi Guys,

I need some help with volleying the ball for PS3. Every time a ball is in the air and it is going to fall to one of my players I double tap o expecting them to lash the ball with their foot but instead all they do is a lame weak header that is easily caught by the keeper. Is there a different button combination I should be pressing for volleying?

It’s really a matter of positioning.

Are you talking about volleys off of crosses or corners into a crowded box or longer range shooting options?

Hold L2 to move your player around a bit so the ball is falling to your feet, something that will be difficult to do in crowded situations because a defender will get his head on the ball before it gets a chance to reach your player’s feet.

And I don’t think it’s a matter of double tapping shoot.

it depends on where the ball is... basically, above your chest (give or take), will be a header. now some skilled players, if positioned right, will preform an acrobatic volley (bicycle kick), but not all.

the best advice is actually to TAP L2 just before receiving the ball. it will give you a controlled first touch where you can then hit a screamer before it hits the ground or after one bounce. try it!
