Re: Difficult to score goals.
nah you really don't need the trick stick.
honestly if you are new it'll take you a while to figure out what kind of offense works best for you. one of the great things about FIFA the past couple of years - there really is room for different play styles and philosophies - compared to say like Madden where if you want to play a certain way it might put you at a disadvantage.
there are two things you can do to start baby stepping your way into the offensive controls ...
1 - Play a game or two where all you are trying to do is move the ball around and hold it as long as possible. Use this time to practice moving toward the pass with the recepient, moving after you get the ball and learning where your players are standing.
Also keep in mind some times you need to go backwards in soccer before going forward. Watch the defense and when you see their defenders creeping toward to top half of the field, learn to quickly swing it to the bottom and the open space.
2 - One of the toughest things to get used to is shot aiming. I'm guessing 90 percent of your shots are going way high of the net? That's because you're pushing toward the goal on your left stick to move the player and not correcting for the shot aim part.
So, practice taking your finger off the left stick right before your shoot. You'll know when you do it right because your guy will fire right at the middle of the net. After you get the timing down, work on moving, centering the stick and then aiming while you shoot.
(Keep in mind the stick aiming is based on your point of view. So if you are attacking to the left, left is high, right is low, down is to the keepers right and up is to the keepers left).
Once you get it down your game should open up.
