Re: CPU vs. CPU options?

Alright... so the lounge mode I currently have set up has the Barclays League (Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester U, etc etc). I'm only interested in them because I have a friend from England, and he likes Chelsea. I added in some random teams from Italy as well (Milan, Juventus, etc etc). I've got it set at 15 minutes, and I'll do a coin toss sort of thing to figure out if I should do normal or slow. Then I will run through matches between like, Arsenal and Chelsea or Tottenham and Arsenal or something... hehe...

Re: CPU vs. CPU options?

A coin flip seems to be the most accurate thing to do...

I finished the 16 matches to get a set of data for both Legendary/Normal and Legendary/Slow.

Only problem... insanely high number of goals. Rarely a clean sheet. In both. In fact, the stats for Slow vs Normal look identical.

Gonna try WC and see if that slows down the ease of scoring without slowing down the stats... because everything, stat-wise, looks great. I just feel like too many goals are being scored.

I'll post the findings in here later when I have the spreadsheet in front of me.

Re: CPU vs. CPU options?

Yeah, I think I did Legendary/Normal 15 minutes. I know I was still in the first half of Birmingham City (I think that was the team) and FC Barcelona and I quit it because I had to do something else. It was 2-1 though in favor of FC Barcelona, but it was still the first half.... Or does that seem realistic? And sorry, I'm new to making sliders, and I haven't played soccer in a long while lol

Re: CPU vs. CPU options?

Sorry for lack of response, but I wanted to finish off the data set... here's a recap:

Took MD1 of the Champions League stats (for some groups I took a different MD for varying results), and ran those matches in FIFA 11 under three different settings: 1) Normal speed/Legendary, 2) Slow/Legendary, 3) Normal/World Class. All 15 minute halves, here's the findings:

Here is the same thing I did on the previous page, with the three settings. I've noticed legendary gives closer stats to the actual results, but my problem was scoring. While the score stat, even, was closer to the actual results in terms of averages and ranges under legendary, I found that legendary had far too much scoring.

To help out, I added another data table... scores by game:

This is the score reported under each setting, with the fourth column being the actual Champions League result. Sure, there are some statistical outliers, but I think for the most part, World Class difficulty gives more appropriate scorelines across the board. One thing I noticed was Slow vs Normal was more of a toss-up than I thought. Didn't really make a difference. I liked Legendary, but wish the GK AI could be increased, so people aren't scoring seemingly at will. I rarely saw a clean sheet.

That said, I'd be curious to hear what conclusions people have made, or if there's anything I haven't looked into, but in simming my Champions League & Europa League (just about to start the group stages when I tested these), I'm going with World Class, 15 minute halves, Normal speed.
