My team allergic to the ball help?

Casual fan and player here so I don't know all the in and outs.

My biggest issue with FIFA is how my AI mates back away from the ball after rebounds and even on goal kicks unless I take direct control. However when I play "my player" mode they seem to play sharp as the CPU player going after rebounds.

I've notice the same thing on 13 demo but not as bad on rebounds but stray passes and goal kicks they stay clear of the ball and don't challenge the CPU.

Is there anyway to make them play closer to the AI on my player mode?

The game has had this issue for years. We just have to keep it I front of the developer's faces. A dude name Qb on here has let the devs know this is a problem.
