Game crashes in manager Mode

Hoping someone can help me with this!

I'm 2 or 3 seasons into a manager mode in Fifa10 (PS2, playing on PS3), and can't seem to get past this one game in champions league. I've tried playing the game and simming the game, and both allow me to play to the end of the match and get a result. When I go to advance off of the training results page, though, the game freezes (see attached screen).

I can still use the PS button to access the reset / quit / options section, but no other buttons do anything and the music stays on whatever note was playing when it froze. I've tried restarting the system, cleaning the disc, and turning off autosave, but still have the same issue at the same spot.

Can anyone help troubleshoot?
