Transfer Deadline Freeze

I'm getting a weird freeze in FIFA 14. I am trying to sign a player, and when I hit "accept" in order to finalize the signing my game freezes. When I try to sign other players, I have no issue. I have done the usual troubleshooting and re-tried this scenario about 10 times to this point. Does anyone have a similar problem or know of a work-around?

EDIT: Figured it out. Somehow, a transfer involving a player I had already sent away had gone this far, so every time the game would freeze because there was no player on my squad to move anymore. It probably should just come up with a message or not allow the transfer in the first place, but oh well. My fault. Mods can go ahead and lock the thread.
