Can't height just be increased? I don't want even lines - the benefit of this 10 click differential is the best it's been. I'm afraid increasing line length that high brings in the lack of covering that we saw on 25/25 and 35/25, primarily from the CB's and LB's meeting the attackers (without increasing height).

I'm going to jump in. It may not even be that, it could be something as simple as marking. I had it on 50 for a bit and if you use the right line length to position the players - then the marking value doesn't have to be adjusted too terribly.

I have a line combo of 30H 40L 62W for both going right now and all looks and feels great, striker are higher up the pitch, defenders aren't running into their own net, looks good. But again I don't have the most exact eye, so Matt, balls in your court!

We're somewhat on the same page. All I did was up height to 35/35 - and the forwards are where they should be:

Actually, I wasn't paying attention to the CPU's forward - they weren't in a good spot.

Fixed it now though:

Height: 35/45

User's forward:


CPU's forward:


Let's also remember that there are many teams IRL that use their forwards as a means to get back and defend. Man Utd is one with Falcao and Van Persie. Aston Villa with the hard working Weiman. I'm sure there are others but those are the ones right off the top of my head. So this is in no ways a gamebreaker for me.

Suggested change for testing 1/21/15:

I've been up as always, working behind the scenes, it's almost 4 AM so my eyes may deceive me.

Line Height: from 25/25 to 35/45
*Thanks to Orion's catch, the forwards before were defending too deep. Now they're just in the right spots. CPU's height is higher because their length is lower.*

Line Length: from 26/25 to 35/25
*Honestly, I think this is a game changer.This has really built up some incredible line play - the banks are there - and the CPU's build up is where it should be. No longer are you constantly "fighting" for the ball at the top of the box. In addition, the CPU "acts" as if they are in the disadvantage with the way they play and fight for possession. They go harder into tackles play with a lot of pride. This was tested on World Class only, and no, it has not been a cure to fight the dreaded burst (when you can sprint past one player, and then the rest, through on goal) - I'm working on that as it is the last "tick" on the box.

Run Frequency: from 100/100 to 90/100
*Purely to combat the bursting. My hope here is to lessen the run freq just slightly for the user so the CPU is not looking for another runner when you've sprinted past one player - basically I want them to switch off and do what they should.

Please try those two changes out. You will still see that great positioning and the matches will be just as good as they were on 25/25 length. I really feel the "huge" line discrepancy is a game changer for how it looks and plays.
