No major changes. Its slower & more measured though. I'm using the Slider set & overall, it's an enjoyable experience (& that's coming from a Pro Evo player).

Yeah I've liked this patch a lot. I've noticed the CPU defenders are a bit harder to get past because they aren't randomly jockeying in prime positions. In addition, their attack is more patient, but still plenty of variety depending on CTTs. Have seen them put their foot on the ball several times as well.

Hi Matt, and hi all. I have been following the community long time but it is the first time I post. I have played all previous titles (Fifa and Pes) and recently bought FIFA 20 for career mode (I would have sticked to fifa 19 but the transfers for ps4 are not there unfortunately).

However, I have to say that I was surprised with the game. Although it seems similar to 19 at first, it actually isn't. Defence is much more realistic now and the animations overall are better and smoother. I am sure that many people said it before but is just my opinion, since I bought the game few days back. I am sure recent patches improved the game, because I played it back in October and I didn't like it.

In all Fifa titles i try to really slow the game down since day 1 with the sliders and i play on slow settings with a mixed of semi and assisted settings.

Matt, I have tried your sliders and I liked them, but I have to say that these are unplayable for shorter halves (i play 6 min all matches, career and multiplayer with friends). Any possibility to modify your slider set and keep the same level of realism but for 6 min matches?

Do we need to adjust any sliders for the new patch?

Thank you all.

Have you lowered Marking at all? I'm noticing centre halves & fullbacks racing out a bit too much & getting caught under the ball. Aaron on the other thread has suggested notching it down to 70.

Thoughts?

I haven't seen that as much, but feel free to adjust for what you are seeing. There are sometimes the legacy issues in which the CB, later in the match, slides out of the way, but it's hard to recreate so direct values can't be assigned to combat it.

Glad you like them. We've worked a bit on them this year, but thankfully it wasn't a steep transition from FIFA 19.

We didn't create the sliders for 6 minute halves, so yes, adjustments will be necessary. The assumption is that not enough chances or converting the chances, so raise run frequency and lower shot error would be the two main areas I would adjust.

Re: FIFA 20 OS Community Sliders

Had a real tense battle against Liverpool. I dont recall a match where I had zero shots on target. Only 2 total shots all game.

They absolutely shut me down in midfield. I did manage to see plenty of the ball down the flanks because TAA and Robertson were getting so far forward. With their fullbacks pushed up I tried to get the ball to Zaha and Ayew as much as possible. Wasn't getting much joy from that either as Gomez and VVD were so strong they just pushed us off the ball for goal kicks and/or throw ins.

At 43 minutes, I saw a ray of light as for some bizarre reason Wijnaldum scythed down skipper Luka Milivojevic on the halfway line. Red card for Gigi and a 3 week knee injury for Luka. 50 minutes and still 0-0 James McCarthy whistled for a handball penalty. Announcers dont acknowledge it as handball but the replay shows that it was. 0-1, Salah sends Guaita the wrong way. 86 minutes, Liverpool are reduced to 9 men! Klopp subs off Firmino for defender Matip to shore up the defence. Within a minute he duplicates Wijnaldum and scissor tackles James MacArthur. It took until the 90th minute to secure my first corner kick of the game. Last throw of the dice I called up the keeper. Corner was way over hit by Townsend and it fell to Fabinho who passed it to Origi who was 1 step inside his own half keeping him onside. He ran in on his own for a tap in into an empty net. 0-2. Absolutely maddening, even against 9 men I couldn't break them down. Man, I love this game!

I also play on 6 minute halves, what do you recommend increasing the run frequency to? Is there a certain number we can't go over without compromising the set? I have upped the run frequency to 10, I don't know if that's too high or? Thanks.
