Manual Players. Having issues finding someone to play online?

I may have discovered something to help you.

For the longest it just keeps on searching, but I went into the sub menu "Online Settings" > "Matchmaking Options" and switched "Approximate Location Matchmaking" from YES (Default Setting) to NO.

I found two games back to back. Previously, I could never get a game going. Hope it will help your searches as well.

Thanks for this. I haven't been able to find a manual player since I started searching, hopefully this will help.

BTW, I'm on PS4, PSN: Turbojugend_LA if anyone is down for some manual matches, or even a friendly season.

One thing I hate is the team star level restrictions. If I am playing on all manual I have no issues playing a five star team if I am using a one star team. Of course I would be at a severe disadvantage but if the other person isn't good with all manual I could beat him.

I play with Sunderland a four star team, but I am thinking about using a five star team (as much as I hate too) so I can get more games in.

There are only two options there: Limited Expand/Restrictive. There should be an "ANY" option.

I have mine set to Limited Expand.

Haha, I wanted to get a game in just now so I said **** it and picked any for controls. Lost 4-0. But I dominated possession. I can't see how anyone can play using anything besides manual. Gameplay is so terrible and cheap.

I remember a few years ago if you were the home team online your control style was "forced" upon your opponent. In other words if they used assisted and you were the home team using manual they had to use manual. It was hilarious to play people who thought they were good because they depended on glitches in the game, and I would take down their mighty Barcelona with the lowly Bray Wanderers.

I guess too many little kids cried about that. So they changed it to how it is now.

I agree, I have friends I play against who use auto or semi and they score a goal on me that ya, looks nice, but it unrealistic and obviously completely assisted. They score and celebrate with excitement, and always say, "Watch this!" and make me watch the replays LOL. I couldnt celebrate a goal that i scored with a couple meager buttons presses and no real input on where the ball was going or what it was going to do.

Hey guys, thanks for the friend requests. Hopefully we can get some matches in soon, my schedule is a bit erratic due to work.

FWIW, my favorite clubs (Nott'm Forest, L.A. Galaxy, Köln) are in the three-star region. I usually pick one of those teams when I'm playing, disadvantaged or not.
