Re: FIFA 17 | Youth Scouting Discussion

I noticed on FIFA 16 that if I trained a player and then decided to stop training him, that his overall would never improve again regardless of form or how often they got to play. It didn't seem to matter if the player was from the youth academy, brought up from the youth academy, or was a real life player it seemed their development just stopped completely. I'm curious to know if anything similar has happened to anyone while playing FIFA 17. Generally I choose to train 2 players I signed from my youth academy at a time in 2 or 3 of the five training slots until they reach 70 OVR, or at least become valuable substitutes for my squad. For my current career mode I want to bring up a lot of youth players so I need to know the best point to stop training them in order to successfully build my club the way I want too.

Re: FIFA 17 | Youth Scouting Discussion

I noticed that in FIFA 16 as well but this year I haven't had one case of training cause any interference with player growth.

I have found player growth continues according to their potential after training has stopped.
