Re: Metallicarl's All Time Basketball Dream Season

Turns out I didn't lose my rosters.

Just did a Dynasty (Sim) for one season with VCU, UNC, NC State, DUKE, and UVA. Worked out very well as all these teams made the tournament and did well. I hadn't even edited KANSAS and they went on to knock off NCS, UNC, and DUKE in that order to win the title over those loaded teams.

Really cool stuff.

I just loaded my all time roster and it has been the default ever since. I would definately save it under several different names just in case though.
How exactly do you save a roster under two different names? If I create a new roster in the "Save Rosters" tab will it contain all of the edited and named players that were on the default? After reading the manual carefully it appears that if you just bring the default into dynasty and save the rosters within the dynasty mode menu, then everything will be fine the next time you open the mode. Not 100% sure about this though.

Anyways, if you're not sure which year would be the best to create a roster for certain teams, I can help with that.

When you edit the default roster and save it, you get to name it...mine was named "all time". I then hit save again and named it "back up". Then every few days after editing I overwrite both files so I have two of the same roster. If you just edit the defaut but do not rename it, when you start a dynasty it will work just fine and the roster inside the dynasty will be saved. But if you try to start a second dynasty the roster will have reset to default( not the edited roster). Or at least I think that is how it works.

Ok great. I'm only planning on doing one dynasty for now but you never know. I never needed to rename the roster because the default is saved on the hard drive during the game installation process... it just keeps saving itself every time a new player or coach is edited. That's a bit strange that you have to save the roster again if you wanted a second dynasty though, you should be able to use your roster for as many game modes as you want. Thanks for helping me out with this, I might have made a large mistake if I couldn't find an answer!

For Grambling State, the 2012-13 season was definitely their best to date

Re: Metallicarl's All Time Basketball Dream Season

Almost officially done!!! I have finished naming and rating 238 teams. I still need to name coaches and fine tune player ratings after testing...and have to rate 74 Oral Roberts, 98 Fla. International, 91 N. Illinois, 74 Tennessee St., and 1969 Gardner Webb. So still looking another week or so until I post roster, but I will start posting a list of teams and key players.
