Not be beat a dead horse, but NCAA 2011 has 120 teams, each with 65 roster spots for a total of 7800 players. Regular guys alter these rosters, depth charts and gear with gamepads and whatnot within weeks of launch.

I know the MLB The Show has farm clubs, but not sure how many players that is.

I just don't buy the time issue for them. If guys sitting at home can complete a larger roster in less time ... then time is not an excuse.

The only valid excuse would be contractual. If that's the issue, then EA needs to be more forthcoming IN ADVANCE with information.

Do you honestly think if they laid all this out that the people who are really spamming up message boards with caps and cursing/exclamation points would care? For the rest of us though, yes better communication goes a long way.

No, for those that love to complain ... things will continue as normal.

But I think the rest of us -- all we want it some insider view of what they heck is going on. We feel ignored and have no clue as to what is really going on.

A few weeks ago - EA should have stated: "Due to contractual obligations with the various leagues, the rosters will be delayed. These are the following issues:
1) Blah
2) Blah
3) Blah

Moving forward, we would like to know if the community would still like us to release updated NHL rosters until the other leagues are handled?"

That would have went miles for the goodwill. Now it just feels like 'yeah, whatev, when we feel like doing it we will'.

Re: EA's Next Roster Update

Any word if EA will be releasing an update sometime before Christmas, Can't wait to get Omark in my Oil lineup! So wish I didn't have to rely on them, but I just don't have the time to manually update. But once here is a solid EA roster with full AHL completed I should be able to add an extra guy here or there, can't wait to begin updating the CHL too, so I can get better draft classes in the future.

Re: EA's Next Roster Update

Now that I have PetrPuck's rosters, I could care less about EA's roster releases. His rosters are AWESOME...I've edited some lines and tried to keep up with the transactions since his release date. I don't play online so I'm good to go...EA's rosters have been a huge disappointment as it's taking them forever to get things updated...
