i'm guessing/hoping he's more talking about the actual controls... in 09 there is no "playing" goalie... there is standing around and trying to stay in position, but as far as making saves, the user doesnt actually have to do anything

you just try to stay in good position and let the computer actually make the saves... then maybe you cover up the puck

to me thats not playing goalie... the position has so much potential, but in 09 the human goalies ability is severely limited

These last few vidoes have partially restored my faith in EA. But final judgement will be reserved when I actually get my hands on the game.

I am however very excited about the potential of NHL 10.

After watching the new Madden video just now, I realized I'm curious if the NHL team has done anything to add to the presentation aspect of the game. There were some nice things in '09, but really not all that much of anything.

Other than the crowds, I hope the rest of the game can get upgraded in this department.

It doesnt seem to be so very much improvement compared to the last years games. In the 2 first vids, there is only rebound goals. Just look on an IRL-game. How many rebound goals is it? Maybe 1 in 5 games or so... And in the 3rd vid there you can see that the floppyness of the goalies isnīt gone. A typical floppy goal just like in NHL08 and NHL09.

What EA would do is hire a complete new dev team because of this dev team doesnt seem to have enough skill to take away any cheese and floppy goals even though, they are saying that they have made improvements. I dont see those.

the goalie controls will probably be a dealbreaker for me. they've waited this long to talk about it, so hopefully it'll be big.

Um, rebound goals happen more often than that. Either you don't watch much hockey or the Euro hockey you do watch doesn't have many guys driving to the front of the net to fight for rebound opertunities.

As for the goalies, no, the're prolly not as perfect as we'd like, but to say the're not an improvement over 09, and have the nerve to belittle the team who has done nothing but made this game better over the last 3 years is nothing short of idiotic.

how did you manage to reply to that post realmk... what that english by sportmats? I have no idea what he was talking about

those damn floppy goals!...?

as for no rebound goals... what? Some teams entire strategy involves putting bodies in front of the goalie and just throwing pucks at the net
