another game where the computer (20 min periods) had 12+ powerplays because I am on the only called for post whistle pushing and shoving.

out of those 12, 9!!! were after the whistle penalties. all penalties were when either my guy never hit them back or I had my guy skate away and they continued going after him. When I did go back at them I ended up getting the call anyway but at least that i understood. out of all the post whistle actions they had 1 penalty the entire game and 2 ended up being 4 on 4.

cpu penalties are up all the way yet they get 3 or less a game. Another year where the post whistle stuff only ends up being a penalty for the user.

Try the relaxed setting, that seems more realistic to me...

You're doing something to incite the AI team. I just finished a game (20 minute periods, authentic post-whistle penalty settings) and the only post-whistle penalties called in the entire game happened when I carelessly poked at the goalie after the whistle and an AI player roughed up my guy for it. Both sides received a minor.

I'm just not seeing the rampant post-whistle penalties you are, and when I do see too many, it's generally the AI taking too many of them in a blowout. I've played at least 80 full games against the AI so far this year (all with 20 minute periods and authentic setting) and I've had maybe a handful of penalties called on me post-whistle when I didn't do anything to stir things up.

I have to agree, you have to be doing SOMETHING to incite the CPU to get them to come after you, whether that shooting after the whistle, face washing, or roughing someone up after the play is blown dead.

That's why I like playing with the relaxed setting because it allows both teams to scrap a tad without the refs calling anything.

I got so sick of my guy skating away and getting checked in the back and then ME getting called that I just turned it down to relaxed. I don't get how I poke at a goalie after the whistle, then get cross checked in the back a dozen times as I calmly skate away and then I get 2 mins. WTF is that? So yeah, I went to relaxed and it has been so much less of a headache now.

what i do is shoot puck in to there net usally they come skating after me and i skate away ! X-D and when am a about to get smashed the Game starts XD or they Get penalty XD or we go in too a fight =p
or we both get a penalty =p
