It's never about the ideas for EA, it's about how they implement them.
Playing 30 minutes for a D when you get in the league (and in the process, having the 3rd line playing more than the 1st line should have been adressed before next year) isn't normal.
But again, with the way EA handled the XP points this year, I'm affraid that the "Earn your ice time" will be really tricky and you'll have unpleaseant surprises.
I mean, how can I expect this not to be a "goal scoring promotion mode" when stats like blocked shots aren't calculated right in NHL 11. If you are a Defensive D in the game, your play shoulnd't only be judge by the +/- stats. In that case, since AI are pure dummy, it makes the mode even worse.
I was giving EA a benefit of the doubt before this year, but now, no more. They proved me this year that something nice could really become a disaster since there's no testing of that game.
