Freezing Issue Thread

I mostly play Be A Pro mode. I used to have all kinds of freezing issues, both in gameplay (no consistent pattern) and failure to load my saved career.

I finally found something that seems to have helped. I only get a very rare failure to load, and haven't had a gameplay freeze up for quite some time.

After starting the game, as in hitting Start when Stamkos is on the screen, and then X to take away the autosave message, I let it connect to the EA Servers, then let it sit for a good 3 or 4 minutes. Yes, this is kind of annoying, but once I do that, the saved Be A Pro has loaded every time just fine, and I think I've only had one gameplay freeze when doing that.

Perhaps there are things going on in the background that don't get completed or something if you just jump right into it as soon as the main menu loads. Weird, but give it a shot! I haven't tested this in other modes, but it could work. It has made the game much less of a headache for me.

This game is completely unplayable. Just got it a few days ago, it freezes in the menu screens at random, after loading my Be A GM file, during gameplay....

I've been playing EA Sports games for over 20 years now, and with the current crop of games being awful (Madden, NCAA, NBA Live) I wanted to give NHL a shot. EA has now lost a customer for good.
