Which Game......

Okay, first I have not owned or played an NHL game on a console since...., well, maybe 1999 or so? Let's just say it has been a really long time. Which s strange, because I have always thought that hockey translates well to play on consoles. I think I just lost a little interest in the sport somewhat, mostly due to family and not enough time to ever watch it anymore.

Anyway, I have been thinking about getting a game to play again on the PS3, as I have never played one on the new generation of consoles and have owned a PS3 since release.

So, which year does everyone think is the best? Should I just jump into this years as it's the newest, or was there a better version in the recent years past? Which has the best Franchise mode, as I prefer Franchises in my sports games above all other modes.

Appreciate everyone's input.

This is by far the best NHL to date.

NHL 12 ..... no doubt about it....

With not playing the previous versions, all the cut scenes and intro's will be fresh and new as well......yeah, I'm sure you'll love it.......

I agree that this year is the best, particularly if you're mainly an offline player.

Yep...NHL'12' is the way to go, imo too.

If you want good Franchise mode, get NHL 2k. If you want good gameplay, get EA NHL.
