I'm so glad that the Winnipeg Jets are back where they belong.

Along with Miami....Atlanta might be the worst sports city in the entire country. They deserve to lose ALL of their professional sports teams.

I don' think that's exactly fair.
It's just a different market. Hockey isn't big in the south. They are more about College football, baseball, regular football. Hell the Braves got more support in losing seasons than the Thrashers ever did regardless of how they played.

Re: Winnipeg Jets Jerseys

I've been through the "Atlanta sucks" argument so many times just over the course of this past summer that I don't care to get into it again. 99% of the time, people have absolutely no clue what they're talking about and just regurgitating things about this city that they've heard from other people or on glorious television.

I had a couple of people from Winnipeg harass me over my saying that it hurt the first time I saw our players wearing sweaters that didn't have the Thrashers logo on it. I responded "You ARE aware that I'm now a Winnipeg Jets fan, correct? You should know as well as anyone how hard it is to lose a team."

I have no doubt that Winnipeg is full of great people and great hockey fans, as evidenced by some of the posters in this very thread, but there were a few who actually kept track over the spring/summer of anyone who mentioned the pending move and if you weren't screaming about how excited you were, they insulted you and your city. Sad. I'm fond of trash talk among sports fans, but it seems to go overboard with things like that.

I felt terrible but me and the Jets PR guy had to basically pull him away from everyone trying to get autographs because I had to check him in at the Great Waters Restaurant to get to his family. I let him stay for a little while though because besides for the Wild trades and draft picks, he was no question the most popular man at the draft.

Ya Byfuglien was actually a pretty good guy. I will say that he looked so out of shape it was unreal. No offending him or anyone else but he had bigger boobs than the majority of the women in this world. He just looked like he hadn't worked out or anything in the offseason. As can be seen with his boating incident haha. He did have a pretty hot girlfriend though. Anyhow I have also noticed through the first few games that he just hasn't been team oriented. He doesn't hustle and that's a problem when a D man like him jumps in on the rush because he doesn't make it back to the D zone in time. He needs to play more like a Brent Burns. Go in on the rush but make sure you get your butt back in time to play your real position. Overall though he seemed like a pretty good guy. I wish I could have taken a picture with him but I wasn't allowed to due to the NHL's rules with working for them. Same thing with Scheifele. I did sneak a couple of videos on my cell phone of him talking to Don La Greca and EJ Hradek on NHL radio though.
Yup. Thats was us. What a small world. lol. I actually had a Jets tshirt on under my jersey, and was going to ask him to put on the jersey i was wearing, but i thought it might be a bit too far. lol.

And yes, Buff is huge. i was very worried with him coming into camp at 285lbs, but hes thinned out, as much as he can anyways. lol. The last few games hes been skating harder, and looks like he is slowly buying ito Charlie Huddys defensive plans. He has alot of raw talent, he just lacks the heart to push all the time. Kind of like Antropov, which worries me we have both. lol. But, i digress.

I'm glad they now get to play in front of fans that not only adore them (that was never a problem here, I can promise that) but who show up in droves and can make the noise for them that they deserve. We could get a lot louder in Philips Arena than people gave us credit for, but I'd have to guess that it's much different in Winnipeg. I'd love to get up there for a game this season, but along with the cost of flying and, more importantly, the cost of tickets I don't see that happening.

I'm really glad the players are happy. And thanks for that last line, that means a lot.

One thing that's taking getting used to is that I'm the kind of guy that refers to all of my teams by "we" and "us." This is the first time in my life that I'm saying that about a team that's not from my city. But I love them and I can't bring myself to do anything else.
a) yes, Burmi is my favorite player, Kane and Enstrom are close behind. If i wasnt getting a #37 Rypien jersey, Burmi was my choice. Ive followed him all last year, and always have been impressed with his drive and effort. he is really going to thrive under this system the coaches have set up. You will enjoy it.

b) i lost a team. I was a young teen, was at the last game, and i was crying like a baby. I knew in time that Winnipeg would become a hockey market again, i supported what we had here. I feel your pain in losing a team. It makes me happy that we have new fans in Canada, and all over the US, but also that we still have fans in ATL. Thats one thing us winnipeggers didnt do. we hated the Coyotes, for the most part. It still bothers me to this day.

c) they are still yours. always will be. you say them for awhile, now its our turn. If you ever come up to winnipeg, and want to know how to get tickets, or anything like that, shoot me a pm. After all, we are all Jets fans now.

people are passionate about sports. some eat, sleep, and breath it. They will say anything and everything bad about someone else if they cheer for another team. But us smart fans, the "hockey fans" first, then "team" fans second, keep it all in check. dont take the BS from em, they know nothing of what they speak.

NHL 12 Alternate Jersey Code - TBA

The code has not yet been released, but will be posted here and will be available on http://www.ea.com/nhl when it is announced by EA.

Remember, EA cannot release the code until the NHL says they can. There is currently no set date for when that will be; however, in the last few years, it has traditionally been released sometime in December once all NHL teams have revealed and worn their new uniforms.

If you're having an issue in an offline game mode where you cannot launch a game because a team has a hidden jersey selected, and you cannot switch the other team's jersey, please just sim past the game until a fix becomes available.

Any additional threads asking for the code will be removed and repeated spammers actioned

Re: Winnipeg Jets Jerseys

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the Islanders alts are supposed to look like, they have that awful black pic on Lukas' site, but I really don't think it would be THAT bad, or near THAT bad.

thanks for link..

funny though, how the NHL would allow them just one code? with a main team like the Jets having hidden jerseys for half the season? thats laughable.. but believable i guess!!

each team should have its own jersey code, like nba2k, so when they wear them the code can be released.

now, is that ea being lazy? or the nhl prohibit multiple codes?
