No more bouncing puck?

This is unbelievable that they have not fixed this. I have not touched the game since Nov. due to the bouncing pucks. I guess EA has moved on to 15.

EA won't fix it because it gives AI a chance of the dump and chase.

One EASHL game, a guy on the other team dumped it in and the bounce was so high it bounced into the stands for a face-off.

Dump and chase? More like dump, puck flies up and bounces around with ZERO flipping chance of my defender to control it, giving time for the AI to chase, pin my guy, get the puck, and get a scoring chance.

Just making it more accurate LOL

i just started playing offline BeAGM recently and was pretty annoyed by this problem as well. funny i never noticed it before (even in the demo)...probably because i used to only play EASHL and i rarely, if ever, see any human player dump and chase. lol.
anyway, what i do to counter this cheap AI tactic is just chop the puck to my other defender. seems to work most of the time. at the least it gives me a better chance of getting the puck.

It came later in the retail version, even after one of the tuners/patches I believe.

Annoying as hell.

"Dump and wait" is a more accurate description of the current puck physics in this game.

Any time the puck gets thrown into a corner, it usually has enough hang time for three of four players to congregate around the puck before it finally settles down to the point where it can be controlled.

I don't remember if it was a tuner update or a title update that caused the change, but it definitely wasn't in the retail version for the first few weeks.

There is a post from an EA team member in a very long thread on their forums stating that the bounce effect is a bug, not something that is intended.

This week the game is on sale for 50% off. i'm very tempted to get it, but then i come across this thread. This bug has me worried. How often is this happening? Is it something that's like clockwork and happens 5 times a game? Every time you dump a puck? Once in 10 games?

I thought this game was excellent this year, and I thought it would be excellent timing to get it with the sale going on... I guess now is your chance to warn me otherwise.

Every time the puck is dumped in man sry I know it sucks
