Official Trade Deadline Roster

Any idea of how long post deadline the roster typically is released?

Thanks!

Re: Official Trade Deadline Roster

As far as my memory serves they've had a pretty fast turnaround with it in recent years. Probably will be out within a week if not sooner.

That's not too bad. I was impressed with the turnaround of NBA 2K's.

When is the next roster update? First year buying a hockey game. Actually I am a new hockey fan.

It's a little mind blowing how it takes them so long. Should've been out today at latest. Not that complicated.

Only problem is draft picks can't be done by us. Otherwise I'd do myself.

Re: Official Trade Deadline Roster

I’ve been on this site for a very long time, and come on quite a bit. Don’t post a lot, but read a lot.

Ok, now after validating my credibility (and not just flaming), I am always annoyed by the way EA handles their transparency...or lack thereof. They seem to forget (or not care) that the customer drives the product. There’s a smugness (perceived or real) that emanates from their responses. Or to be true, mostly a lack of. I love and appreciate the transparency that games like The Show have. They seem happy to work with the consumers (gamers), and do so with a sincerity and joy to working together.

So back to EA...ok...NHL, to be more succinct. They are the least transparent team I’ve seen in all of my years gaming. Almost as if they will get to you when they get to you. I’ve heard many people come on OS stating that in the EA forums they’ve had posts deleted, and of course unanswered. That to me is appalling.

Not sure why exactly I am ranting here, but had to get it off my chest. The roster update is an example that triggered some feelings. I truly do not understand how it takes so long to get roster updates done. In my job (IT), if I am unable to get something done during business hours, I work to get it done in my own time. Doesn’t happen often, as I am very efficient, but can. It’s about a work ethic and true pride in putting out good and thorough work.

Last paragraph...lol...

I head onto Twitter to see if there are any ETAs on the roster, or any news, and of course nothing. No responses to anyone. No statement. Nothing. I would have the utmost respect if someone just gave an update. “Hey guys, sorry but roster is taking a little longer than expected. I’ll update later today with progress.” Something along those lines is sincere and respectful to the consumer, who don’t forget, indirectly pays their paycheck.

Quick addendum...I think the franchise is moving in the right direction. And want to give credit where is due.
