The First Sliders I've Ever Been Truly Happy With

Hey, guys.

I don't think I've ever posted a slider set before. If I have, it's been a long time. So be gentle. I'm sharing these, because I think I'm onto something. I don't claim to have found perfection, but I have, at last, found slider settings that makes play against the AI, at least for me, for the first time in my history of playing the EA NHL series (25 years), consistently fun.

I have played probably the better part of 60-75 Play Now games against the AI over the last couple of months tweaking these; generally making changes every 5 games or so as needed. But I haven't had to touch these now for the past 25 games or so. That's 25 consecutive games where, after I was done, I thought, "That was pretty damn good," and felt no pressing urge to change anything.

To me, that's a pretty big deal.

I find a great variety in how games play out. Sometimes I win, sometimes not. Sometimes I dominate possession, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I out-pass, sometimes out-shoot, sometimes out-hit. Sometimes I don't. It's always a surprise, but it's always challenging, and (almost) always feels fair.

If you want to give these a shot, I would recommend you be exact to start; even with things that might seem odd, like the passing aim indicator. There's a method to all of it. Still, I know how subjective this kind of thing is, so I don't expect them to be for everybody. But if there's even one person out there that gets the enjoyment out of these that I do, then it was worth typing out.

Anyway, here they are. Cheers.

Try attribute on 5 and see if you like the checking better (more checking and less tackling).

Post whistle rules, try relaxed. Where anything goes has more scoring and authentic has less.
