Some touches and improvements but disappointed there was nothing about commentary.

Staley Cup celebration and engraving is nice.....

I wonder if it updates the Cup throughout franchise mode with new winners added each year.

Yeah pretty much a yawn this is stuff they probably had ready last year but ran out of time so they implemented this year. Disappointed

In all fairness, as primarily a franchise player who plays 20 minute periods on True Broadcast, I'm somewhat happy they put a little effort into presentation this year, even if most of what they're adding was in the old 2K games that I enjoyed so much!(grumble, grumble...) However, I will say that if the commentary isn't fixed it'll all be for naught. The overtop screaming about every single play is cringe inducing.

The big thing for me is seeing if they did any sort of recalibration with the a.i. gameplay. I won't go through the litany of items that need to be addressed that so many of you have already mentioned, but suffice to say the two I would love to see are, the a.i actually attempting a shot from anywhere other than within five feet of the crease. Also, please, please, please, allow the a.i. to call a timeout when appropriate!

I'm holding out hope that the upcoming gameplay preview will give me further cause to be optimistic.

Two things I wish would happen with the game, license the authentic coaches and bring back arena music customization... I can get the sliders where I want them usually and have fun playing the game, but I play for some weird coach that no one knows and the arena music is repetitive and stale... I wish the coaches would have ratings and tendencies as well, meaning if you play for a coach such as Torts, you get rewarded for great defensive play and the game goes sideways if you think you are going to run and gun under Torts. All coaches have specific tendencies, I don't see this being a huge undertaking to create, especially just adding them on the bench instead of Igor Stomsky or whoever... I don't play EASHL or CHEL, throw us franchise players a bone EA... c'mon!!!

I just want much-needed franchise updates. Waivers to work correctly. A legit easy way to get to waivers to a) see who's on there and b)if or who has been claimed or has a claim on them. Even though it's on and I try and watch the waiver declarations screen, I never see option to claim waiver popup. And once a player is claimed they should have to stay on the NHL roster or they pass through waivers again. Not like EA does it where it puts them on the AHL roster.
