Re: NHL 23 Franchise/Season Discussion Thread

Won the Stanley Cup in 7 games with the Rangers against the Kings! We alternated wins and losses and eventually took the last game 4-2! Played every game ended up with the 1 seed winning 50
games. Now my off season questions are to free up space to bring back Miller at D. Probably gonna move Trouba to do so and see what I have left over for a decent signing on offense

There’s a number of space themed logos, and that’s the “voyage” Houston is most famous for.

Re: NHL 23 Franchise/Season Discussion Thread

Just bought the game yesterday on PS5. Picked a team for Franchise on random, and landed on the Minnesota Wild. Boston immediately offered me a trade. They offered their prize prospect Fabian Lysell and a draft pick for Zuccarello and Greenway, but I just couldn't do it.

I've been letting the CPU play the CPU (yes I'm one of those people). So far, 0-5 in preseason. Marco Rossi has been really undisciplined, taking a rather large amount of penalties. Ryan Hartman got suspended for a hit from behind. Nah, I'm kidding, but they really should put suspensions back in. Haven't seen them in the game since NHL 2001.

PS: anyone know a good slider for CPU vs CPU penalties? I used a slider set from this board, but the penalties are really high for a 7 minute periods game. I also had to turn the aggression and hitting power down, because the games were turning into hitfests. Like I was playing NHL Hitz from back in the day. I like realism when I'm doing CPU vs CPU. Everything else has been great with the sliders otherwise.

Edit: I turned DOWN the penalties before the preseason game against Dallas and it actually got WORSE. I don't get it. Every year it's the same thing with EA. Through two periods, Dallas is 3/9 and Minnesota is 0/4.

Mine were 8-minute periods, not 7-minute periods, penalties are hard to come by at lower settings, when I play, am usually changing strategies, and I usually get like 0/4 - 1/05, yes I played in pre-season, won once, but the way I created them strategy and challenge, it's how wanna play, I developed them for run and gun style, I won a game 5-2, I use Vancouver Canucks., we had 50 shots and they had like 32 shots, I like hitting style of game, cause in real life I counted the hits, if you go to TSN, they usually have like 20-30 and good teams it's usually 30-47.

Sorry yes, I meant 8 minutes. Is there a difference because I'm on PS5 and your slider is for XBox SX? In that game against Dallas, the Stars ended up 4/14 on the powerplay.

might be a difference, I never tested it on PS5, I just have Xbox Series X NHL 23 X-Factor Edition (pre-ordered copy), test it again to see. I just updated my sliders too.

Re: NHL 23 Franchise/Season Discussion Thread

Decided to do franchise mode the way I've always talked about wanting modern NHL.

32 teams, 8 divisions of 4, 3 points for regulation win, 1-8 playoff format with reseeding, and for fun I had a fantasy draft too. I just like simming through these modes, so we'll see how my team does.

I guess you can only relocate your team? Part of me wants to relocate the Coyotes a year into the franchise mode and shuffle the divisions I created a bit more.
