This is almost that same goal, but in real life.

Re: This video shows how "great" this game is

The video game goal is of a lob/chip from the red line finding its way in. this happens once every year, if that, in the entire league.

The second video is a slapshot from the red line going in. This happens once about per year, per team.

So, not the same.

I like the game. Sure, it has its glitches and it is not perfect. But there is a big difference between a lob/chip and a slapshot.

My point is the goalie didn't even react to the shot

It's similar to when a pass along the ice goes through because the goalie is bouncing between the hugging the post animation and the pads-down animation.
The goalie have been touched up a bit over the course of the series, but they're still one of the weakest links.

I know, I was just playing a little bit, but at the same time saying strange things do happen in real life too. Like when Lalime played with the blues and someone shot the puck off the glass behind the net, it took an odd bounce and hit off his mask into the goal.
I hope I didn't come off as a jerk, or an idiot.

Definitely not. I think it's a goofy goal, but in terms of the garbage that goalies can be, this is certainly not that bad. It does kind of point to an issue with goalies not really reacting to the puck, but more the player and the actual shot itself.
