Are you seriously basing your statement off of "youtube search returns" and your "Lil cousins and friends"? Ignoring the fact that those are just terrible sources for how popular something is, if you look all the way at the top of this page, you will see that Be a GM is 10 votes above the next-closest option. While this website is just as subjective as any other, it's hard to argue that something is unpopular just because your cousin and friends don't play it, and no one uploads videos of themselves playing Be a GM.

The game mode is very popular, especially among those who want a more realistic game and prefer to avoid the constant search for people who don't just play the game to score cheesy goals by any means necessary. Some people, myself included, would prefer to run a successful team over playing online. Not to say i wouldn't enjoy playing on a solid virtual hockey team of like-minded players, but it's not as appealing as making trades and crafting a perfect team.

One big issue with Be a GM mode, and the reason for it's decline in popularity is just how terribly sterile EA has left the game mode over the years. Anyhow, i just wanted to point out that because you, family members, and the youtube community don't find things enjoyable, doesn't necessarily mean everyone feels that way.

If nothing else, EA marketed HUT tremendously with 15 because it was one of the only modes in the game. I wonder how many people tried it for the first time because there was really nothing else to do?
