im not tech savvy at all with this kind of stuff. What exactly are these trace routes showing between Telus and EA?

Hope this helps. Very frustrating issue. Half our team is suffering from more than half a second of input lag. The game is not playable at the moment. I've had no issues with any other xbox game, other than NHL.

Yep, it seems like when it hits unknownprolexic (72.52.44.218), everything goes off the rails.

This is the response from the Core Network guys I talked too.

There are some individual hop in the middle (11 and 12) with higher response times to ICMP, but they don’t persist past those points. That doesn’t indicate those hops are the source of latency. If they were, hops 13 and 14 would be at least the same time, if not longer). TELUS has similar behaviour in our network, and all that tells us is those individual nodes, for many possible reasons, don’t respond to directed ICMP packets as quickly as it deals with forwarding traffic. That is normal and common in many networks and devices.

What’s really of concern is the increase in time between hops 14 and 15. That link is entirely within EA’s network.

If you are on a Shaw connection, can you please add your traceroute so we can compare the two path. Thanks.

Do I have to have a hard wired pc to do trace route or can I do it from a Mac. My laptop crapped out got a new mac

You can do it from the mac. Just open a terminal window and do the traceroute

I still have Telus modem hooked up and all my internet tv and phone. I also have a shaw modem that I only use for ps4 (in till Telus is fixed) I am super busy as I have two daughters in ringette and my boy in hockey so at the arena like 6 nights a week but soon as time allows me I will forward you my trace route front Telus modem and trace route from shaw modem than you will be able to see both from exact same location just out side Calgary
