Just a thought...but it would seem more realistic to raise the fatigue in the third period, when most teams playing back to back actually seem to run out of gas. I like these ideas however!!! Especially the raising of difficulty down the stretch for teams making their playoff push. I think after the all star break would be a good time to implement this. I'm definitely raising difficulty during the playoffs.

There's no way my Blues should waltz through the playoffs, lol.

Agreed. Now I'll do another "coin toss". Either raise it for the 1st for a sluggish start or the 3rd for running out of gas. With random number already set from 0-6, I'll do 0=full game (poor prep), 1-3=1st period, 4-6=3rd period.

Very interesting way of looking at things.

Re: Diversify the CPU during Be a GM

I've been using this for a bit now, and it seems to really add some depth to the games. Last night I replayed the Edmonton-Anaheim game from the other night. With the Ducks coming off a back-to-back, and knowing they'd be a little more tired actually affected the game for me.

Near the end of the first, down 2-1, the Ducks had a little pressure going. Once I got control, rather than a controlled breakout I flipped the puck all the way down the ice because in the back of my mind, I thought my slightly fresher winger could get down there quicker than the Ducks Dman. Sure enough, I (barely) beat the defenseman down to the puck, negating the icing, and set up THall in front for the tying score with :27 to go in the period.

It's a little thing, but it added another depth to the game that has never been there. It was kinda awesome.

I wish we had as much playoff luck as my Blues do. 4-2 the first round against Chicago, 4-2 against Minnesota, 4-0 against the Ducks I think it was. Struggled a bit against the Lightning, but eventually beat them 4-3.

This is a great idea.

It makes me sad that this is something that could easily be coded right into the game and we all know they just won't.

Hey divine, cool ideas you've got there. I'm probably going to give this a try. One question though, do you keep the AI Learning the same when you face an opponent again? For example, let's say I'm Calgary and going up against Nashville. Let's say that Nashville gets a 4 from the random number. The next time I play them, do you re-roll or stick with a 4?
