I don't recall them saying anything about customizing rinks outside of EASHL, so not sure what you're going to base a lawsuit on.

We should at least be able to customize the arena presentation for goals / etc. That makes a huge difference if you can add a spotlight on the goalie or some smoke coming out of the scoreboard for the playoffs to ramp up the energy in the building.
Also, there are several teams without their authentic goal song, so that wouldn't be a licensing issue to change those with generic songs, would it?

This is from the official NHL 17 blog:
"ARENA CUSTOMIZATION – As you progress through Franchise Mode you’ll be given the option to improve your stadium through Arena Customization. From here you will be able to improve everything from the architectural design of your stadium to the in-arena presentation of music, special effects, scoreboard, and lighting."
