Hey bad_philanthropy, good to know you're having fun, I also saw the video you posted in another thread. I'm just a bit curious, which sliders did you change from my set? I'm not talking only about penalties but other sliders too. It's always good to get other ideas to test new things. Thanks.

I was just short handed for the 7th time and I was only 3 minutes into the second period.

I have HUM puck handling at 10 and cpu at 20. For me, I like it at 0 for NHL games, but I feel like it doesn't scale down to CHL games and other lower leagues in the game. I like a universalsetting that scales for all leagues, and to be honest the closest number is probably above 15 for that effect, but I keep it at 10. I feel like the cpu AI is designed around 20, and so it helps me get fairly accurate shots, and shooting percentages out of them. At 0 I can too easily dominate possession and defensively.

Also have Pass Assist at 0, poke check range at 0, and poke check accuracy at 30. Everything else is as you have it. Solid stuff.

What period length are you using?

I'm seeing a good spread of penalties.. and like someone said earlier.. this latest tuner has the game playing the best it's ever been, imho.

I think the default penalty sliders are tuned to scale to a game with period lengths around 5-7 minutes. One of the gameplay designers said he finds he gets the most accurate statistical outcomes from 7 minute periods based on how it's tuned around the defaults. If you want to scale the your game to higher period length I think you'll have to reduce the penalty sliders.

I’m going to give that a try this week. I do have my penalty sliders up a few clicks from default. I was thinking of going back to default for a few games then adjust from there, or at least the tripping slider. That’s what I’m getting called for the most.
