League Gaming Hockey Provides Fun and Immersive Team Play Experience

The strange thing is that I can’t even remember now how I actually found the website...

That was a great read. I didn’t even know something like this existed. How much of a time commitment is it?

These leagues are great--I've played in both LG and VG--and EA could learn a lot from them. EA could also streamline the entire process a lot more as it is very cumbersome, as you mention in your article, for new folks joining up.

Why EA hasn't capitalized on this yet is definitely mystifying, but I can't see how they can ignore the potential much longer.

Nice write-up!

great read.**
I like how the LG is organized.** I like the fact that you were* traded so many times and eventually not being wanted by an NHL team.***

@CujoMatty Commitment on LG is 3 games / week for skaters and a maximum of 6 game / week for goalies. Games are played Sun-Wed and can range in start time from 8:30pm EST to 11:30pm EST (depending on which level you're at).

@Kevin glad to see you keeping a good attitude despite a bit of bouncing around and not getting a shot at the AHL/NHL right away. It's a great trait, and is going to server you well in your LG career. Stick with it and opportunity will present itself.

I was a member of LG in its early inception. From what I remember correctly, Tristan,* the original owner went to work for 2K on their hockey series. I believe in the years since, Ozzie has taken it over and done a remarkable job with it. When the VHL collapsed, LG regained the life it once had and then shot through the stratosphere. Wish I had the time to jump back in. Health issues initially caused me to leave and now, age and time constraints keep me away. Wishing these guys all the best! LG, if you're reading this, Heater says hi!
