In a game branded "NHL" with a tagline of "It's in the game" the most popular brand of equipment worn by professional goalies in the entire world, and most importantly in the NHL, will be omitted for a 2nd straight year.

I can officially retire from caring in the least bit about this series. It is completely dead, and I'd advise anyone and everyone to stay away and never purchase an NHL game again. Link below.

So if the lack of space is the reason why they wouldn't add True equipment (to make room for all those street crap) then get rid of the older equipment's they haven't wore in years, there ya go, problem solved. At least balance the game. There are a lot of people who play offline myself included but they couldn't care less. ugh! That would also explain why they couldn't care less about the off colors of the jersey's/helmet... cause it's the street clothes they're focused on apparently.

2K.... come back!

Hey man, some people want those though so they get them. Not sure how the same logic doesn't apply to the most popular goalie brand of choice by professional goalies, but I also don't work at EA so I'm not able to illogically justify adding street hockey gear over the real gear of choice by pros in a game labeled "NHL" lol.

Re: True Goalie Equipment

Makes it even crazier that they have the TRUE goalie sticks .....but not the pads

and if space is the issue....maybe get rid of 60% of the pads that nobody in the NHL even wears. Nobody is wearing Vaughn pads from 8 years ago, nobody is wearing 90% of the warrior pads, NOBODY HAS WORN KOHO PADS IN THE NHL IN AT LEAST 6 OR 7 YEARS

Purge out some of the goalie gear nobody wears and put in stuff that is currently worn by the pros

This isn't rocket science

True Goalie Equipment

Sad thing is I see the official forum for EA nhl series and everyone’s pissing about the true equipment. But no one is complaining about the lack of street clothes. So where are they getting this info from? No one. Just their excuses to shut us up when we all know it’s a lie. It’s what they want not what us customers want.

EA took this game in an arcade direction a couple years ago and it’s been full steam ahead. It’s much easier to make an arcade like game to appeal to casual gamers and kiddies than it is to deliver a solid sim experience. EA will say that’s where the demand is but that’s BS because there is a massive hardcore hockey community that has been asking for the same simple things for years and it’s ignored….We get playable mascots, HUT Rush, 3s, snazzy street clothes, and x-factors instead of decent AI, player separation, neutral zone play, and up to date goalie gear. That’s all the evidence needed that EA CAN add this stuff they just WONT
