Anytime watch figured the other night, almost no turtle block and when it happened dude was ko'd through it almost immediately.


Why turtle block is in the game and used entire fight is mind boggling

They need to allow us to move while throwing strikes. If you rock someone and they are far away from the cage, the only chance you have of finishing is through the clinch because everything you throw at him will miss while he's back peddling.

I agree. The more I think about this the more it frustrates me.. how can devs let that slide in a fighting game.. keep your hands high in a real fight and see how many punches I will land or sneak through

I think, bring back weak high block when someone rocked or low stamina at least.

I agree w/ a lot of what you all are saying

In all --- for RANKED or high stat UT (not low-stat UT) --- I think it's pretty clear that STANDING blocking power is a bit OP.

I think a reduction of blocking power by about 10-15% would be perfect. Nothing TOO crazy, still need a defense against spamming chumps lol, but it needs a tweak for sure.

Or at the least...'legit' combos have a way to break down the block more...i.e. mixing up straights, hooks, uppercuts, in a logical/realistic way, do more damage to the block to simulate 'breaking thru the guard' with the tiny 4 oz gloves

Needs to be addressed...but no MAJOR changes lol try it out slowly

Obviously, you attack the body.. But that is no excuse for an impenetrable, super block. Nothing about that reflects any sliver of realism.

Not to mention how EASY it is to just hold high block, walk backwards, and avoid almost everything. All head attacks get perfect blocked by the forcefield high block. Body kicks whiff. Body Hooks Whiff. Only body jabs will sometimes connect.

Unless you manage to close them off against the fence, High Block gives you unbelievably insane defense. It's a get out of jail free card which requires no skill whatsoever.

Beyond OP mechanic.
I see what you're saying, but I much prefer the way it is currently to the weak blocking from the last game.

I don't know. I don't want to be finished by someone just because I got rocked by one random strike and then I'm not allowed to protect my head. That already happens too much in Ultimate Team as it is IMO.

weak blocking was totally garbage last game; 100% accuracy at computer reaction speed --- and still could block a LOT of damage

hi/lo is definitely better than weak block; just need to tone down the strength of the block slightly

(or make it a hybrid of strong block and weak block ... making weak block VERY weak...but I don't want to give them any ideas about going back to weak block, that stuff was lame, no mind games with your opponent at all! And that's half of striking right there)
