Just Downloaded My 4th Overwatch Update: What's going on EA UFC 2?

Hello All,

I am not just throwing shade here.... I would just like some insight into why it takes so much longer for an update to get released for EA UFC 2?

It seems like we go through the same thing with every game (THQ and EA)... I know the game has been out for months but it really has only received 1 patch that affected the online game play in a significant way. (What is bold is incorrect. I have been informed that there have been 8 patches released and only 1 did not impact the online experience)

Is it the nature of this game? Is it the budget?

I think it is fair to ask for some sort of timeline or details of what issues have resinated with EA developers and which have not come accross as a priority.

Still the best MMA game ever... its just that this update process seems to not be any more efficient than what we were used to with games 5-8 years ago.

I'd expect....900x more people play Overwatch than EA UFC

sad but true, but at least they are planning on *more* than one more patch for UFC 2..just might have to wait awhile

I sure hope they have been taking our observations into account..

It's weird not knowing what they are working on or what they are targeting.

If it is the budget, I wonder if the sale of the UFC has any affect on the amount of resources EA will allocate to this series.

I mean... you are dealing with a property that has a fair market value of $4.2B.

I thought there was only one patch released that affected online gameplay. If I am wrong I am happy to correct my mistake.

Am I just being a bit impatient or is this taking a bit longer than would be ideal?

I couldnt disagree with this more.

The game has been out for 5 months. We are on the 8th patch/update with the 9th one coming out this month.

Only 2 of those 8 havent been gameplay related. I can understand not being happy that they havent fixed every online gameplay issue you may have but to say that only 1 patch has affected the online portion of the game is just false.

Comparing EA's process to THQ (which at the most released 3 patches for its games and 0 for UD3) is a poor comparison.

I dont know a lot of sports games companies that do that. If there is a big issue or bug, most will say "we are looking to address it" but most (especially 2k) are silent about what is going to be in a patch until its released.
