Have people figured out how to purposely lag matches?

I have had a nagging feeling people have figured out how to lag the match when they want.

I'll be playing a match, winning the fight and than once the opponent gets a advantageous position like muay Thai clinch or a good spot on the ground the game just starts to lag?

Has anyone else noticed this? It always seems to happen against higher ranked opponents with good records. Maybe I am being paranoid but it seems weird to lag soon as they get a good spot and than it stops right when I escape.

Id say a large percentage of the time its a coincidence. But i 100% know for a fact that it is possible and its been done against me.

Not sure it's possible to know? I was against a streamer the other day, very laggy match and he's sitting bitching to his audience that I'm causing the lag. The moron himself is streaming, which to me suggests he is the cause.

In any case, I find people tend to take their frustration out on their opponents and blame them.

Not sure, but the lag and latency is annoying as hell. Like you know your better at stuff than the lag makes it seem.

Its possible that the person you played used a lag switch

For sure have dealt with Lag switchers who have even admitted to such in msgs.

I reported the msg to PSN, but nothing seemed to come of it.
