Knockout animations need to be changed.
This game desperately needs to go back to the EA UFC 2 rag doll knockout system. The new system completely breaks immersion. I understand the dev team worked hard on it and it definitely sucks having your hard work criticized but the truth is the pre rendered knockout animations suck. If I sway to the right and get hit with a right why do I get knocked out to the left? It doesn’t make sense.Tags: None -

nope. I DON'T think so. EA UFC2's ragdoll was have many problem. first of all, it looked very arcade. and we couldn't distinguish between Knockdown and Knockout based on ragdoll physics. its terrible more than now. Yeah, I agreed KOs animation needs to be tweaked but EA UFC2s ragdoll is NOT a solution. I really don't want to see these super arcade KO animations this year again.
Do you like these animation? If they bring back ea ufc2s ragdoll, you have to see these again. This game is NOT arcade action like TEKKEN 7. NO thank you.

I enjoyed those xD So if we can have a hybrid of both that would be cool.nope. I DON'T think so. I've been pretty vocal about this, and I won't stop, because the KO animations are absolutely horrible, not to mention THE SAME ANIMATIONS FROM 3 PREVIOUS GAMES......
Sure, once in a while you'd get a KO that looked terrible in UFC 2. Maybe 10-20%.
However, 100% of the KO's look terrible in UFC 3.
I'd rather have a few stupid ones and mostly good ones than all stupid ones.Comment

I’ve seen these 3 gifs being posted all the time when talking about the knockout animations. You act as if this is the case every time. Sure we see the silly ones once in a while but the UFC 3 animations are all bad and unrealistic.nope. I DON'T think so. I'd prefer UFC 2 ragdoll (with minimal impact on lower body, so not more full-body flips), and *always* having the option to ground-and-pound after a knockdown. If it's a KO, I still want to be able to dive in for more strikes. If it's a knockdown of *any* kind, even with the opponent away and trying to get up, there should be an option to jump in and try to keep them on the ground.Comment

After playing the UFC 3 beta for like 2 days now I can honestly say, the KO's are not that that bad. Sometimes they look awful like they look canned especially when they fall to the side. Other times they have some ragdoll in them. But yeah ragdoll is better imo for KO's as long as they're not crazy looking you know? From playing UFC 2 I would mostly see some pretty awesome looking ragdoll KO's, I hardly ever saw those outrageous looking ones that are on gifs etc lol. Long post I know bare with me, anyway my issue might not even be an issue in the full game, but I'm going to address it anyway. When you knock someone out cold currently in the beta, most of the times, (and I'm saying most because other times there is an actual ragdoll animation happening) they don't look like they're completely out. They fall in pain but they don't look unconscious and the fight ends without giving you the chance to finish the fight. Which in that case those should be knockdowns, not KO's. KO's should look like they're actually unconscious, not just in pain and getting the fight stopped just because. Very few times if any the fight should be stopped with these canned animations. Also the ability to finish the fight when someone gets knocked out? Why did that get removed? Can they bring that back for release? Also I can't stress enough the KO zoom, if they could maybe tone that down or completely get rid of it. I just don't like how as soon as you knock someone out cold the camera snaps to him right away. I think it should look how the knockdown camera looks, how it stays the same just moves a tiny bit and at the finish the fight moment then that's when some zoom can come in. Man this was long to write but I just wanted to voice this sorry for the long post guys haha. Also I'm glad the KO situation is getting fixed for release that makes me even more excited for this beautiful game!

The crazy thing is I’ve only had the beta for a few days and I’ve seen more ****ty kos than I’ve seen the crazy ufc 2 rag doll ones. I play ufc 2 a lot and I mean a lot! I’m pretty sure there is a poll on here and everyone wants the rag doll back. The new system really sucks and I hate to **** on their hard work but it’s the truth.Comment

The KO's are better in 2. Spectacular actually. It's the primary reason I still played that game. UFC 3 striking is fantastic, but the KO's are underwhelming imo

Ok but are you saying that ufc 3 is better? I said ufc 2 had some silly stuff but 95% of the time they were awesome. These pre rendered animations are ugly and 90% of them don’t look good.Comment
