Yes online Practice mode would be awesome. We only had that in UFC Undisputed in online camps.

You can do this without a camp mode but it would be a pain to go through in a quick fight with friends if you accidentally got a KO. An actual mode appointed for this where you can turn off taking damage and no time limit would be great.

Share play is okay, but you can see everyone's hud.

The training games are great. In the aspect they really do teach you some stuff you may not have know in an innovative way, like the TD defence with this ball your supposed to kick and intercept knee and stuff, its good practice, its still not explained the best though.

I'd like to see tutorials on all that. As well as strike cancels and fients.

I definitely hope UFC 3 takes some hints from UD3 here too.
I mean they've basically just gone back to the UD3 career template and then expanded it,
Start in the WFA, work your way up, so keen.

I like the way lower difficulty AI matches also show the grappling denial inputs, it'll be handy for newcomers and stuff, I used the event mode bug for 2 back in the day to learn them using that method so glad to see they just put it in.
I think they will but who knows. I hope they do personally. Career Mode now has money like EA MMA & FNC had to use towards training. So I definitely feel like some new training is in the game. Not only that Anderson Silva was hitting focus mits in the reveal trailer as seen here. Conor McGregor was hitting the mits then ducking when prompted as well.

Just hopefully there is more in depth details that can really help others learn the game.

The Beta showed that most of us didn't understand the new way to escape the submissions.
But GPD already said they are looking into a better way to explain it in game.

Online practice would be amazing, I have 2 friends IRL who are barely even casual MMA fans, that's it, 2! that was always my biggest issue, nobody to practice that stuff you cant get the AI to do or can't try in the middle of an actual online fight.

If online practice was in, I'd literally be own to spar everyone.

I like the tutorial videos EA UFC 2 has but I also like hands on training as well. The skill challenges weren't bad but I felt could of been better.

EA UFC 3 has many new additions such as RPM(Real Player Motion Tech). New Damage & Stamina System's. New Controls, & New Attributes. I see many things that FNC & EA MMA did that I feel would go great with EA UFC 3. Looking at things people have expressed playing the beta. It's clear that training drills/ training games, and videos built for certain aspects of the game would help others out with the parts they struggle with.

Examples:
-Footwork & Dashes
-Head Movement (FNC Had Maize Bag)
-Breaking The Block (Stand Up)
-Breaking The Block (Ground)
- Breaking The Block (Clinch)
-Inside Fighting
-Outside Fighting
-Defensive Skill Combo(Slipping, Dashing, Blocking & Countering)
-Surviving Being Rocked (FNC Had Stay On Your Feet Training Game)
-Finishing A Rocked Opponent (FNC Had Closing The Show Training Game)
- Combo Practice (EA MMA had a heavy bag in career mode that had no time limit and no designated strike zone, which would be perfect for practicing combos)
-Landing GnP
-Stopping GnP
- Grapple Denials
- Grapple Reversals
- Arm Trapping
- Kick Catching
- Submission Changes

Every one learns differently, there are some who don't ever do or look at tutorials to learn the game because hands on is the best way for them. However that is not the case for everyone.

New stats and new mechanics mean there is definitely some kind of new training especially for career mode. The EA UFC 3 reveal trailer showed us this fact. If strike recording could be used with grappling, clinch, & submissions we could just create our own training drills in practice mode.
100% agree with this. How can noobs be enticed to stay if they never discover the depth and fun ? It would make EA more money to have these guys sticking around too.

Speaking of noobs. I'm one to this series and would like to start playing this franchise since Fight Night isn't coming back anytime soon it seems. Would it make sense to get UFC 2 on this PS4 Flash Sale to get to know the ropes or just wait it out until UFC 3? I guess my main question/concern is this series even noob friendly? Want to avoid a steep learning curve like NBA 2K. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

It could help with the grappling, but you would be better off not playing ufc 2 imo.

As Dave said, if you bought 2, you could learn how the TD, Clinch and Ground systems work as they are the same (essentially) in UFC 3.

However if you begin getting used to UFC 2's standup you'll be even more a fish out of water in UFC 3's standup.

My advice would be, if you want to learn and practice the ground game, then get 2 while its out for like $10 bucks (this is most newcomers kryptonite, and no matter how good a striker you are, if you can't stuff a takedown or work out some reliable getups for if you do get taken down, you'll get eaten alive online)

If you want to practice standup, FNC is about the closest you'll get, and it actually uses some of the same inputs on the face buttons (1-2, uppercuts are same buttons as UFC 3)
But even that won't fully prepare you obviously.

When you say newcomer friendly, do you mean like, to a non-MMA fan? Or to a boxing fan? Newcomers.. it can take a while if you don't know anyone to help you out, but the practice mode atleast explains the various ground positions.

To a boxing fan, you'll pickup standup pretty quick, you'll adapt to the kicking side of things pretty quick, but it can take a whole to pickup the grappling.

That said, UFC 3 will have the ability to see the denial input direction at lower difficulties, this is a massive tool for new players to get their head around the denial system on the ground.

The fact you come here helps. A lot of what isn't explained the best in game will be explain by someone here usually.
