What I really want to know is what's going on with these pre order bonuses. Like are there any pre order fighters? It can't just be this ultimate team stuff cuz if, that's lame tbh.

I asked someone from EA and was told there are no pre-order fighters

Re: Any word on Mike Tyson?

I know people love the legends like Liddell, Couture, Griffin, Cro Cop and Big Nog (I know Find The Door's Google search is about to go off lol)...

But I'd always prefer a current fighter over a retired fighter. That's just me. Because it's not about whether I like the guy or not. The old fighters style just feels off and antiquated when plopped into modern MMA. I'd rather use a mediocre newer fighter than an older retired fighter.

Hey, woah now, hold up, Japan Cro Cop would tear up HW if they kept the snitch (and Cain.. Werdum.. Stipe.. Francis) off him.

But, being serious, that's a fair way to look at it.
Personally, I love playing classic match ups like Mirko v Nog, Rampage v Liddel, ect ect.
I don't think guys like them, who either were or are still competing as of a few years ago are outdated to the point of being excluded, but that's me.

With that said, I would also prefer newer fighters over new legends, guys like Nog, Coleman, Mirko, Faber, Hughes, BJ, Chuck and Royce, who were all previous games, I think should be included as they already have models and they only need tweaks really.

But if it worked like, oh, should we add Darren Till or Dan Severn, then I'd choose Till every time.

Dang that sux. Well while earlier access with the champions edition is enough incentive for me to pre order, might not have been a good move for some others.

Fortunately I think once the guy has been made, they just bring him to the next game. They aren't really taking someone's spot since the idea is to grow the roster.

I think the only reason this year's roster will have roughly the same number of fighters is due to the removal of fighters who left the UFC. If they'd stayed I think we'd have a good 50-60 more fighters in total than last year.

However, if those guys take up space and resources from CAF slots, new arenas, universe mode etc...then I'd rather not have them. I don't know if disc space is still a thing, but that's where I'm coming from on this.

Re: Any word on Mike Tyson?

I prefer actual current fighters over special appearances..

Retired fighters/boxers break immersion to me. Not to mention that they're always buffed in every area as if they're on every PED's from 200 years into the future rather than having realistic stats..

No he wouldn't. The sport progressed. People are better in every single aspect of the game and in putting it all together.. No fighter from that era would do well today.
