Re: Remove Jab KO.

I definitely don't think the Jab KO's look good. I really recall anytime in the UFC where i have seen a Jab KO, even a straight/cross KO is hard to recall. For example McGregor uses his jabs and have patented left straight to knockdown the opponent which leads into the TKO with ground and pound.

I think that jabs should always cause a severe knockdown at most, which would lead into the follow up shots for the TKO. Straights should follow the same principle unless you are in a heavier division with a big power puncher. I just think it looks weird when the jab and straight are causing someone to go out cold for the most part.

Thanks & Regards
AB541

Edit - Just thought of a straight/cross KO that i somehow completely missed - Aldo V McGregor -_-
But yes my point about jabs still stand (:

Had to use the opportunity to post one of the scariest KO's ever.

Rumour has it that Tom is still sitting on the cage.

Re: Remove Jab KO.

GPD spoke on this topic during the beta. He said stiff jab KOs are ok and he would rather not rework the entire striking system just to remove them.

In the EA access trial i've seen some jab KOs but they are more so lunging jab KOs now when the opponent is rocked. Almost like a southpaw straight. I think it's fine now.

Re: Remove Jab KO.

This is a symptom of the larger problem of there being way too many clean knockouts. If a jab dropped someone who was finished with GnP it would look fine, but since they have so many clean KOs you end up seeing a lot of jab KOs that should be knockdown and finishes.
