Anyone know how to side lunge with Dominic Cruz?

I've seen players being able to side step without using his signature head movement avoidance animation, anyone know how they do it?

If you use the right stick instead of the left stick, he'll do the normal lunges

He’s correct. Just use the right stick in the same way you would normally use the left stick. Remember to hold L1/LB while you do it, of course.

You can use the right stick OR left stick to lunge... and that applies for any fighter in the game. The difference with Dominick Cruz (and TJ Dillashaw) is that his signature lunges are assigned the LS. To bypass it, use RS instead.
