Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
Sliders can be a bit tricky. Since the AI doesn't take them into consideration. meaning if you max out power the CPU will still throw like it always does.
One thing to do with CPU vs CPU is to have simple submissions on, and grappling speed and submission speed at max. That way the grappling looks more fluid. -

Yeah I’ve heard the AI is a bit tricky I just need damage and stamina sliders I maxed out grappling and submission speed alreadySliders can be a bit tricky. Since the AI doesn't take them into consideration. meaning if you max out power the CPU will still throw like it always does.

Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
I'd personally have it on:- Clock speed - accelerated
- Stamina recovery - ON
- Health recovery - ON
- Damage - 10
- Stamina cost - 12
- Transition speed - 20
- Submission speed - 20
- Grapple advantage - ON
I think the damage is good as it is.
I did want to lower the output, and gas a normal fighter at a 5th round, but anything over stamina 12 causes top wrestlers to gas while their victims don't. So I wouldn't recommend anything higher.
I've experimented some with no health and stamina recovery, but the danger then is that all fights end in 3rd round hail Marys.
I'd also strongly recommend accelerated clock speeds if you ever want to se decisions.Comment

Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
Simple submissions don't change the AI's ability to perform subs in any way. Though it does change the HUD overlay. Simple subs allows the use to button mash and have the AI play the real submission game for them, based on how fast they're hitting the button.Sliders can be a bit tricky. Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
Thank you, Skynet. those were actually two seperate ramblings and not related to eachother. It was poorly written by me though.
I find it better for the visuals of grappling that the Sub HUD is gone (if you're just watching the CPU fight eachother that is)Comment

Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
Pro is the difficulty that is intended to give the most challenge while still being the most authentic to the fighting style. Legendary is simply supposed to be challenging, often at the cost of the exact style a fighter uses, though still based heavily on it. Normal is a very common difficulty that people use to help tone down the AI aggression while keeping their intelligence adequate.
The fact that some people use pro on sliders and some use normal with sliders is the exact reason the different difficulties and sliders exist
Different strokes for different folks.

Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
They don't change any of the influences the judges look for. If you increase the damage output, then you'll accrue more damage which they will note, yes. However, you'll be much more likely to get a KO before the fight ends.
Alternatively, if no one got KO'd, then even though you increased the damage output, you didn't actually do much more damage than a regular fight. Increased the damage per strike, but landed fewer, etc.
So I'd say it doesn't influence the judges directly, but depending on your playstyle, it can change the results that the judges see by the end of the fight.Comment

Re: UFC3 cpu vs cpu sliders discussion
I've held a quick prospect to legend run career mode yesterday using these MacGoman's sliders and it was a blast to play. The ground game basically becomes a guessing game and is just lightning quick.
The only problem is that you're basically forced to reset them as you want to learn moves, as it's near impossible to complete some of the missions.Comment
