L2R2 Submission wow!! the IQ is out of the skull

The state of L2R2 submission basically is... you execute it, you win. it took 2 secs to understand how it works and then you likely won't fail, just hold on L2R2 altogether no matter where your opponent move and then follow your opponent's indicator tap L2 & R2 occasionally, the chance of deny these submission is very thin. I never intended to submit anyone but when I use than to escape my opponent's GNP, I always get it.

Unless you use a high wrestling/BJJ stats guy and pop up a slam command randomly, or there's no way you can escape L2R2 submission

To the person who came up with these mechanics... GDC really need to make a special award for you.....

The donkeyest design ever in fighting game history. It seems balance wasn't even a thing in UFC4 dev's consideration as long as they can sell tokens & bread styles to those who have more money than brains

Agreed, replace it with simple subs with a stamina tax.

I don't think I have ever been tapped by a joint sub even against high ranking guys.


I usually just create a rhythm and then mix it up and rarely get caught.


The only understandable ones imo is if you gas yourself out on the ground which then makes sense.

I have no idea what he is talking about either. Just hold the triggers at 50% and milk it side to side. Escape out of limb subs blindfolded.

Yeah, nah.

At first I said they were OP because I didn't understand it. Finally went into practice and tried it, absolutely nothing wrong with joint submissions.

This game is just trash with constant clinching which does nothing to stamina for excessive or a vulnerability when you hit them while they're trying to clinch just like ducking into a uppercut is almost an instant rock. Takedowns also taking almost no stamina and the back positions somehow draining your entire stamina

The only subs that need a change now are the damn choke subs, since you can spin the wheel at like 100 miles an hour lol.

The beta choke subs were better imo, just people didn’t bother to learn the mechanics. They really weren’t OP either, towards the end I was escaping them very consistently (when at good stamina obviously).
