Body side kicks

So when will they be fixing the body side and spinning body kicks because right now you can avoid both just by walking laterally. This makes outside fighting even harder than it is already.

In UFC 3 you would have to block, lunge or sidestep to avoid these, but now they’re far too risky to throw against anyone who knows what they’re doing.

Re: Body side kicks

It was like that in ufc 3. You could dodge side kicks via lateral movement. I don't know if ufc 4 it's easier but it was possible in UFC 3.

You would have to sidestep as in flick the left stick now you can literally walk left and the kick misses

I mean taking a whole step covers more ground than a side step IRL, doesnt it?

What am I missing? If flicking works why shouldn't circling? If you throw a kick at a target and they move...then wouldn't you hit air?

Because it makes the kick borderline useless against a good opponent...

Because the teep kick is another straight kick and lands to the body even if the opponent is circling...

and by that logic shouldn’t straights miss if your opponent is circling away.

I've never practiced martial arts...but it seems like straight strikes are easier to target than round strikes IRL.

It would seem that if someone moves the opposite direction of your round strike and they are good at reading when you're going to throw it, you shouldn't be able to connect.
