Is there any way to make it so you can choose your preferred trunks color?

I think you are wrong on this one. It says its based on the country. So If I'm from the US, I can choose from Black, Blue, White. I cant choose Green. I can choose among the colors chosen for my country.

I was going based on memory of the article, but rereading it does say later on that the other fighter chooses between chalk and black. Perhaps if if homeboy would have calmly explained that to me I would have been more receptive and not thinking with my defensive lizard brain.

I'm sorry, I didn't know that there was a line to fall behind. I was under the impression that the developers are capable of reading multiple things and compartmentalizing. I didn't mean to overwhelm them!

they already stated they wont be reading every thread. if this gets seen over an actual bug they will think everything people are complaining about is just as frivolous

That's quite a leap in logic. Also, it's a good thing I made the title succinct and relevant so they can just read that and decide whether to acknowledge it.
