This is EXACTLY what is killing me about takedowns right now

A Condit denyed my takedown after he whiffed on a kick and I shot a single with usman.

I should have gotten the takedown either way, it DEFINITELY shouldn't have been stuffed to sprawl.

Do I just need to only go for double leg takedowns then? Again, if I can't get a perfectly timed single leg with with a great wrestler against someone with bad TDD and no stamina off of a two kick whiffs then why would I ever go for any single leg? With your suggestion it would only make sense that I only go for doubles if even the most perfectly timed single under the best circumstances can be stuffed to sprawl. That's complete crap.

I have faith that this will be fixed almost immediately. It's a huge oversight that this game does not allow you to blend strikes with wrestling. Im sick of companies putting out games at full price that are full of bugs and flaws but we live in the age of patches.

I've been harping on some of these issues for awhile

For example --- if you have high stamina; high grapple advantage (opponent whiffed kick); AND opponent has low stamina ---- it should essentially be an auto-takedown.

Maybe a 1-frame deny window lol

Especially if it's the above situation; plus you have high TD Stats / TD Perks --- and/or opponent has low TDD Stats ---

AutoTakedown without any denial window

(Too many people get away with Pre-Deny spam IMO)

If you hit someone while they are in pre-deny does it do extra damage? Cuz it should

Definitely agree. And, to be honest, I don't believe pre-deny (of clinch OR takedown) puts you into a vulnerability state.

Obviously if someone attempts to clinch or take you down, and you hit them, it's definitely a vulnerability event (and they usually hit the mat) --- but really don't think that's the case for denial.

heck I remember last night thinking a TD was coming at me; denying it; and instead taking a big shot to the face ---- didn't take much damage at all.

I very rarely pre-deny but I definitely felt as if I was caught with my pants down trying to stuff a TD that wasn't there; and instead taking a shot to the face --- but I definitely wasn't punished much (at all?) --- besides not having my guard up I guess haha

But yea, hopefully GPD or a GCer can answer for certain. I definitely agree that if you are hit by a strike while 'pre-denying' (or just missing a denial and taking a big shot) --- you should be in a world of hurt. Would help keep people honest.

They had 18 months to blend strikes with wrestling. What makes you think they will do it now?
