Would You Like To See More Damage Done By Elbows From SUB Guard?

I don't find myself on my back too often, but when I do I like to try to work methodically back to guard rather than go for the home run escape or reversal (depending on situation of course).

Last night was one of those times...I was messing around in Quick Match and a guy took me down. I sort of let him but that's besides the point

I got into full guard and starting throwing elbows from the bottom. I landed at least 4 before he went for a transition to half guard. I denied it and landed a few more. Any other time I would have been trying to stand-up or reverse the guy, but thought...hey let me try to land another dozen or so elbows from bottom just to see if I can accumulate any damage.

The answer was no lol

I don't want elbows from the bottom to be one-hitta-quittas or anything close to that. Not even as powerful as Single Collar elbows post-patch. Maybe 1/2 that or 1/3rd?

But as it stands now, dudes can take like 3 dozen elbows to the face and have essentially no drain on the head health.

Again I'm not looking for Rocks or Knockouts or anything lol BUT if I am able to land a half dozen or more elbows to my opponent from the bottom...that should take off at least a few percent of his long-term head health, don't you agree? If only because "in real life" those can cause nastyyyyy cuts which can put a fighter into jeopardy.

What do you think???

I consider "A Little More Damage" to be about 1/4th to 1/3rd the damage of a single collar elbow post-patch

I consider "A Lot More Damage" to be more than 1/3rd the damage of a SC elbow

You can pretty much KO people in rubber guard by draining all their head health with elbows before sweeping to mount, I don't personally think that the full guard ones need to do much more damage.

I'm curious how much it influences judging (if at all). When I'm on the bottom, I'm always looking to get to full guard and go to work with elbows. That's especially true when my opponent isn't doing much. It doesn't seem to have much of an effect on damage that I can tell, but I like that I'm staying busy, and it helps me transition out a lot just because I'm giving them more to think about.

For ea ufc 4 bleeding needs to be realistic, and have a bleeding effect from getting elbowed or kneed alot which will result in cuts. however its hard to add a game mechanic to this as its something you cannot replicate from real life when blood is going into your eyes. It would look stupid for your screen to get blurry from blood.

Great Point.

I meant to say this is for 'regular guard' only not rubber guard.

Do you know if Rubber Guard elbows do more damage? I seem to remember they did but I haven't been caught-up in rubber guard for a long time.

But this poll is for 'regular' guard only
