Game informer closing after 33 years

I was so disappointed to see another gamer magazine who by all accounts was the #1 selling game mag not that there are many around anymore. Everything is going digital however I think there is a market for the print version this don’t make sense only that corporate has bled this dry.
I feel for those that are laid off and losing there job this should be the biggest news.

I will say thank you to all who helped game informer what it was very fond memories that you have given to us cheers hoping for all your success in your futures

The whole video gaming industry has changed so much now. E3 has become the Summer Events and less social. Gamescom, now the largest showcase event's attendance numbers has grown each year since the pandemic restrictions. It will be interesting to see if the trend continues this year.

Like you were saying, it's moving towards a digital world. The new focus is towards mobile gaming.

Sad to see it go. The days of taking it with me or Nintendo Power to school to read during down time between periods or taking it to lunch so me and friends could look over stuff and talk about games is gone. Lots of good memories.

I remember going into the grocery store and seeing the new game magazines that use to have the demo CDs in them.
