2pac - I was and still am a big 2pac fan, and when he died in his prime over some street BS, it shocked me and made me angry. I didn't cry or anything, I just couldn't believe it. From rap to movies to the controversy, he had a life. Way different from other rappers.

Aaliyah - This one was just a shocker. She was on the brink of doing big things, and passed away at such a young age. Not to mention, I had a crush on her.

Michael Jackson - Not much I can say than what has been said before. Grew up on MJ, was the first singer I was a fan of. Still surreal to me.

Same as your's. I was a big fan of all three and when they died it was definitely a shock.

Well if this is strictly about celebs then Michael Jackson and Issac Hayes and Phyllis Hyman are the ones I would say. I know 99 out of 100 of you have no idea who Phyllis Hyman is but she could sing her behind off.

I liked Biggie, and it was definitely a shock, but I was more of a Pac fan back then, so u know how that was. When BIG died, it was more of a "WTF is going on" type of thing.

I love Phyllis Hyman. Didn't know much about her when she died though (I coulda been about 13 at the time). Standout songs by her for me are "Betcha By Golly Wow" "You Just Don't Know" and "You Know How to Love Me."

Re: Celebrities Who's Death Affected You

2Pac and Biggie really affected me, especially Biggie's death. Growing up in NY, Biggie was KING of NY at that time and man, it was just crazy when everyone got word that he had passed.

Michael's death the other day threw me for a loop. "Thriller" is one of my first music memories and his music was a soundtrack to my childhood.

Chris Benoit's death also really affected me. I haven't been able to watch much professional wrestling since that day a little over 2 years ago.

None. I don't find celebrities to be nearly as important as many others do.

I remember Phyllis Hyman. She could sing, but I can't lie, I couldn't stand her songs. I was a kid though, just wasn't for me. I remember a picture of her in JET when she was younger before she gained all that weight, she was pretty fine, big boned.
